First of all, I bought the 'blanched' ones from this site for the wild animals I feed daily, but they smelled of mildew. So, I got the these un-salted, roasted ones and BOTH the animals and I eat them with delight. These are so popular that when I throw them down twice a day, within 60 seconds I have a whole menagerie of animals that come running: squirrels, robins, bluejays, cardinals, wrens, doves, sparrows, black birds, etc. Then at night, I see a fox, possum, and coons that come to eat them. The most interesting is that I caught the resident robins feeding these to their newly fledged young! Who knew that robins eat peanuts! In case you are wondering, my 'crew' also loves the raw, shelled sunflower seeds....all the aforementioned eat those, too. Peanuts are primo though since nobody else buys them in this neighborhood that I know of....and for the squirrels, I give them the 'mixed nuts' in the shell, which they all love. This is the time of year that all animals have babies in their nests, so I feel good that I am helping do my small part to ensure their families thrive....
